Definition
Representation is concerned with the way that people, ideas and events are presented to us. What appears on screens, in print etc., does not appear by accident, but through a process of
decision making from within the media industries. A media text then, needs to be viewed in this light - as a series of representations, a vehicle for beliefs, values and attitudes, which can be reinforced ( or challenged) by the audience.

My definition
To my understanding, 'Media Representaion' is various means of mass communication considered as a whole, including television, radio, magazines, and newspapers, together with the people involved in their production

Played on BBC OneThe first episode starts, with a frantic chase through a disused warehouse, with a sweating, panicking man stumbling from floor to floor, with Luther menacingly walking slowly behind him.
Eventually, our desperate man in a suit has nowhere to go and is soon precariously hanging by his fingers over a ledge whilst Luther looms ominously above him, demanding to know where he has hidden a kidnapped child.
Finally drawing a confession from him, the twist here is, instead of rescuing him from his perilous situation, Luther lets him dangle for a while until he loses his grip and falls to his death. Nice. Tells you the scriptwriter had a dark side.
From there we are taken to a murder scene inside a house. A tearful twenty-something woman, caked in blood and generally looking the worse for wear has just called 999. Her father, mother, and even the family dog have all been brutally shot.
You presume she has been attacked as well but, like all good detective stories, there is a twist. Well, there has to be really, doesn't there? and it ends there .....

Guardian Story
Guardian Story
The Guardian article that caught my attention the most was the one about the previous Suunderland Manger Paolo Di Canio. Paolo Di Canio was sacked by Sunderland on Sunday night after resentment fom his players and tension on the training-ground meeting on Sunday morning.
Di Canio, whose team had taken only one point from the season's opening five league fixtures, called the meeting to analyse the previous day's 3-0 defeat at West Bromwich Albion. When the manager criticised his players, he was answered back forcefully, with Lee Cattermole, the midfielder he stripped of the captaincy, believed to have told him the squad had lost faith in his controversial methods.

Reflection
Reflection
At first I was thinking 'This is gonna be hard!' but
when I read the instructions for each post it broke the tasks down into
easier parts. The examples really helped as I used it as a guide line.
This bridging tasks was different from the other
subjects so i was interested in it. I was happy that it wasn't an essay but something more entertaining.
It was easy for me to familiarise myself with this blog as I used to have a blog on www.tumblr.com and the layout is almost the same but with different content.
By doing these tasks I now have a clear understanding of the criteria and the course.
